Leave golf cart plugged in or not?

Have a 48 volt club cart. new to me. Is it better to leave charger plugged into cart if not using for several weeks or unplugged and just charge before use?
    Thanks

Leave plugged in unless your charger.Doesn’t shut its self down when fully charged.

I don't leave anything on charge in fear of a fire. But that's just me

Yes, best thing to get is a trickle charger.

Depends on your charger. The older types would charge your battery and then cut itself off. Would not come back on so you would have to unplug it and recharge the batteries to bring them up to full charge. The newer ones will 'float charge' that will keep your batteries at full charge (safe to leave plugged in).

Mine shuts itself off when charged but I have never left mine plugged in 24/7 because of the fire obvious hazard plus I was recently told by a Golf Cart service man not to leave plugged in constantly..
