I don’t have the answer, but I can tell you I had to show mine for bow fishing. So my guess is yes, if you are taking fish, you best have a license.

Saw this on Lone Star Law. Cast Net is limited to a certain size. Gotta be true if you see it there. :-)

I actually think you are supposed to have at least one rod if you are throwing a cast net? Bn a while since i read the regs on that.
