Concrete Surface in a Shop

Do you prefer a smooth concrete surface or broomed surface in a shop? Smooth can get pretty slick when it gets wet, but much easier to keep clean.

After having lived with a epoxy finished floor for 15 years, it's worth the cost and effort in a shop.

Ours is hard troweled slick finish with saw joints on 8' centers in the shop. Much easier to sweep than a broom finish. Our sidewalks outside are broom finished.

Smooth or an epoxy finish if you have the coin to spend.

Smooth inside is easier to sweep.. broom finish outside so no one falls when its wet. Epoxy finish looks nice too and makes cleaning up oil or other spills easy.

This, always this. Brushed on the outside. Even my back porch at the house is brushed but lightly and yes it will get slick when wet.
