My buddies family owns some land between marfa and presido up in the chinati and cuesta del mula mountains , anyone hunt that area ? Or have information?

It’s only 14,000 acres, with foothills and higher elevation but some flats

I hunted that area 20 years ago saw quite a few deer did not see much as far as antlers go but i found a ton of arrowheads maybe i was too busy looking down to see the big boys

One of the better areas in state to potentially kill a really good buck on both sides of highway 67. The farther north from Presidio the better. All comes down to how ranch manages their deer herd and neighbors.

Beautiful area. Some very large ranches in area.

I killed a nice 8 point in that area 30+ years ago. Take your shotgun, lotta quail.
