Close call

I was up in the attic last night getting some baby toys down for my son and stepped in a spot I have numerous times and wasn’t even thinking twice about it. But this time the piece of carpet that is on the wood had moved about six inches and was hanging off the wood. I stepped on that 6 inches and went right through. Lucky caught myself and basically did a really deep dip and was able to push myself back up, lol. My right shoulder is pretty sore this morning from catching myself but could have been a lot worse

I have only seen one "fractured" ***** in my xray career and it was caused by a guy falling through the ceiling. Except he straddled a joist

I did that one night both legs came through left me sitting on a rafter. Right over the washer and dryer wife looked up with sheetrock in her hair and asked calmly what I was doing now.

I've done that before. Pretty sinking feeling when that step just keeps going. Glad you are okay.

After my wife knew I wasnt injured, she called me several things littered with colorful adjectives!

ouch! Always thought I could catch myself with arms but this way of 'catching myself' would be horrible.
