Happened to me at 156,000 miles on way home to Houston from Kerrville. Man what a noise it made, thought I ran over something. Black smoke like a locomotive taking off.
This was on Sunday. Limped back to the retirement house and went in on Monday to Ford dealer, parts guy says oh yeah we always keep this part in stock. He said that with a straight face and only a smirk. Took longer to find the socket I dropped than to change it. I will probably replace with an aftermarket one and keep the OEM for just in case.
