    It does not sound logical to me that his pedicles are broken. For them to break they would have to have solid antler, and those have long since gone. The pedicles would have healed, at least one of them and likely both, by now. What I'm thinking is those antlers are like scur horns that polled cattle sometimes grow. A horn that is not attached to the skull by bone.
