Pay for the under brush to be cleared.
The exposure could make him visible to all residents and perhaps that will make him more in to another place.

When I was working for the Forest Service we tried several times to locate any heirs to a 160 acre property that was surrounded by public land in a effort to be able to conduct prescribed burning.

We found no one had been paying taxes for many years and the county was not pursuing title.

There was a bird dog training area adjacent to the property on federal land. We mentioned the situation to two members of one group that we couldn't locate any of the heirs. They had a lawyer check into it. He finally located one elderly heir in California who had no interest in the property.

They paid her a few thousand dollars and started the adverse possession process. They paid the taxes for seven years and put a few improvements on the property.

They now own the 160 acres, leased the mineral rights and have two horizontal wells in production.
