Superformance seems like it’s gone through the roof. Even academy seems higher than normal.

Yeah, I passed on on their price when I got a notice for 6.5 Grendel. But then again, I’m not finding any primers and powder for reloading either. In another year I may be wanting to pay that price. Who knows.

I'm seeing shelves starting to be stocked but very high prices.

Makes sense to me. You go months and months with empty shelves and people paying ridiculous prices. The people running these companies logically conclude they're selling their product too cheap.

Now the shelves need to bulge beyond capacity for a year or so or these prices will be permanent. If they're not already.

Midway, sadly. Has gone up a lot on their pricing. I have been doing a lot of searching for bullets lately and found that Midway is one of the highest priced companies on in stock bullets. I have found bullets they claim are being discounted, because they are no longer going to stock them. Their discounted price is still $8 to $10 a box higher than what I find the same bullets for at some other company.

I found some bullets lately at Midway and then some small company I had never heard of. Midway was $20 a box higher. They were bullets I was not familiar with, so I did not know the normal pricing. I almost bought them at Midways price. But kept searching and found the same bullets a multiple other companies and they were all at least $10 cheaper than Midway. with one company being $20 cheaper, for one box of bullets.

Midways pricing has definitely gone up.

I 100% agree with you.. I’ve spent more money than I care to admit with them but since this mess started their prices have gone completely insane. I totally understand people have to make a living but 95% of Larry’s stuff is stupid way higher than everyone else’s so I walked away from them. MidSouth and Grafs are my preferred stores now but I have a long list of places I’m now doing business with.

Try here often and you can find your ammo pretty quick for a lot less, they have the 150’s currently.

While some of this may be true the prices didnít rise purely because they thought they could make more money. The massive demand created a shortage of all loading components and huge back orders causing manufacturing costs to go up. I do think theyíll come down some, definitely on certain products but Iím sure that we wonít see pre pandemic pricing for awhile if ever.

Midway have been bitten buy the Greedy bug. Their prices have steadily gotten higher and higher over the last year or so. They are now about the highest priced online store there is. I haven't bought anything from them in the last 6 months or more since they started to inflate the shipping costs.

Wow, some on this thread have no idea how supply and demand works, no wonder why the younger generation is clueless. And, if you think its high now, wait till October for hunting rounds.
Midway has experienced huge price increases, raised their prices to make a profit, and are turning product like never before.
On my end, I am glad that I bought a couple of boxes of 300 win mag at wally world every once in a while at $23/box and have 25 boxes and stored up hundreds of 22 250 for my wife's rifle.
I don't see ammo going down while this commie party is in charge.

Prices will only come down when inventories are overfull come tax time. They will try to unload inventory at discounted prices to lower their tax liability. With the shortages across the board that will not likely happen for along long time.
Republicans would have to control the Whitehouse and congress for 6 to 8 straight years for this to happen. We are screwed to the wall.

I can understand an increase in price but $20 a box seems excessive unless they want to ship it for free.

the whole idea of capitalism and mass production makes the price per unit go down.

evidently, capitalism is out and laisse faire is in.

Midway is no worse than any of the big online retailers and a lot less crazy than the fly by night online ammo sellers that have popped up. At this point you're paying for someone actually having it in stock.

Next time there's a deal alert that's posted featuring something at Midway, Google the item. Midway will show 50-75% savings and their sale price will be within $10 of the all day everyday price on Amazon lol.

I understand it completely. And I have bought a lot more ammo and components than the majority of folks. Midway is taking it to the extreme. I absolutely agree with raises prices due to the cost of good and employee pay rising. But doubling or tripling isnít just cost of goods. Especially when I can buy the same thing elsewhere much cheaper.

That explains the sales at Palmetto State. I saw a complete AR15 for about $400 before shipping in the daily deal email today. Not much good if ammo is too expensive to shoot

How much of the price hike is inflation? obviously some of it is the lack of inventory since supplies are low but inflation has been on the rise sharply….

It's not just ammo and components that are outrageous at Midway. Look at any reloading equipment, dies, tools etc and then add in their inflated freight cost.
Even their scopes and other stuff they list as ON SALE is higher than most other places. Plus they only ship UPS so you may or may not get whatever you buy.

Just placed an order with Midway. They had Hornady 6.5 ELDX bullets in stock with “free” shipping. $2 a box higher than Midsouth but in stock and the “free” shipping made it a wash.

I have placed 3 orders in the last month or so with Midway. I have always gotten the free shipping. Cabelas didn't have what I wanted. Been awhile since I bought ammo so maybe I don't know the best price, but I've been pleased.
