Unsettled weather remains for the reminder of the week [next week] with periods
of showers and storms as a backdoor cold front approaches and a
trough of low pressure develops over/near the Yucatan Peninsula.
Confidence in the weather pattern this far out continues to be low,
given inconsistencies between model runs. Continue to monitor the
latest forecast and keep an eye on the Tropics as a southwesterly
wave/low pressure may develop over the Gulf towards the end of the
long term period.

The main pages I follow say the Gulf system doesn’t look to be turning into anything and will just be a rain maker for the coast.

System down by Belize/Honduras is showing 20% chance of development and the pacific has a nice rain make out there also.

Curious to what the guys here think.

My wife asked me what I wanted to do for F-Day, I said “tent camp at Copper Breaks state park and catch the top water bite at sunrise with my fly rod.” She said, “alone?” Apparently she doesent want to tent camp in the summer heat

Wow I live in a waterfront house at the coast. Every year we have to be ready to grab and go
if a big one is expected. But as the late Rush Limbaugh used to say “Its worth it living in paradise” He lived on the Oceanfront. And he was right.

Wait until a Laura type storm rolls through der. I think your assessment may change. You can't really believe it until you see it and live it.

It's going to suffer much shear. Will likely not even develop into a TS but will be a rain maker for whoever is east of center. I hope it does not come west of LA/TX, we don't need anymore rain.

I get a daily Tropical update for work and the 7 day rain forecast shows your area getting 2-4 inches and the bulk of the rainfall is East of you and into Mississippi.

Saying 60% development but as mentioned the shearing will look rough.

Continues tracking east for a “landfall”

The latest satellite imagery shows Invest 92L continues to have disorganized convection around the low level center over the western Bay of Campeche. 92L is still forecast to slowly track in a counter-clockwise loop in the BOC over the next 72 hours and then lift to the north into the western GOM late this week as it steadily increases in foreword speed. As 92L enters the Gulf of Mexico tropical storm force winds may develop with the strongest winds expected on the eastern side of the system. Models continue to have a widespread, leading to confidence remaining low at this time. Interests in the region are advised to prepare for enhanced conditions late this week and next weekend regardless of development.

Current Movement South-southeast at 4 knots
Sustained Winds/Gusts 20 knots / 30 knots
Threat of TD or TS 60%
