So, my wife and I have a reservation to stay in Galveston this weekend...and it just found out it's the go topless jeep weekend at Crystal Beach. Tried to cancel the hotel and it's too late. For you guys in the area, how bad should we expect it to be in Galveston? Does most of that stuff stay around Bolivar or is Galveston bad too?

I think most of it is on Bolivar. I-45 causeway traffic may be a little heavier than normal but you should be fine on Galveston Island. The topless gang likes to ride on the beach & there's not much beach vehicle access on the Island. -
In previous years most of the stuff has stayed on Crystal Beach. I will be over there working this weekend.
Now there will be the traffic coming on to the island to get to the ferry landing to make it across to Crystal Beach. Island SHOULD be no worse than a summer day when the schools are out.Comment

My 22yo daughter is at UTMB and lives over by Moody Gardens. She evacuated for the weekend to stay with girlfriends in Austin that should tell you all you need lol.

We're actually gonna go on Thursday, so maybe the traffic won't be too bad then. We plan to mainly fish at the state park and just hang out. We'll try to leave early Sunday morning before the drunks wake up and head out and beat that rush. I'll risk it before I lose 3 nights of hotel fees I guess!!Comment
