Oh man, just now seeing this! I am so sorry for the loss of a friend! Real friends are hard to come by.

Lord, receive this soul to Your Eternal Rest. Comfort his family and friends in their earthly loss. Give them the Hope that is in Your Son Jesus Christ our Savior. Make their grieving brief and return their Joy in due time. Lord we ask You to fill that void in this family that the loss of such a loved one leaves behind. Keep it from being occupied by evil in any manner. Only good bring to these, in the name of Jesus we ask and pray, Amen.
