Default Form 4 wait, why?

Never have seen an explanation of why it takes so long to get a form approved

What all is involved?

Why does CHL not speed things up?

Or is it just a matter of understaffing by the ATF?

Knew when I started this journey it was going to be slow, just curious what all is being looked at

Understaffing mixed with general inefficiency of anything involving government.

You’ll hurt your mind if you try to understand anything ATF or Government related. It’s like trying to understand the thought process women use.

Makes no sense. The wait time hasn't increased or decreased much, so the rate of approval must be about the same as the applications submitted. It is simply a government deterrent to apply.

ATF isn't doing any processing during the shutdown either.

That is easier said then done lol. Luckily mine only took 5 and 6 months so the wait wasn't near what I was expecting.

Why rush to give you something they don't want you to have?

The approved Form 4s I've seen during the government shutdown beg to differ. Tell us what you know about contractors.

You have seen an approved F4 dated after 12/24?

Form 3's are not moving. FFL & SOT apps/renewals are not moving either, which could get scary.
