You guys are gonna hate me. I just got the call on a Form-4 I filed late July. Not sure how that one slipped through so early, I wasn't expecting it until sometime this summer. I guess I'll drive to Amarillo and pick up a can in the morning!

Going from memory, I thought it was late July. Sorry, it was early August.

But in all fairness, it was one I had to submit all new paperwork on because the dealer screwed up the first one. Originally it was filed in Jan of '16, and denied due to an incorrect serial number right after 41F went into effect in July. Because of that I had to resubmit under the new regs, and jump through the new hoops, and do it all a second time. I wasn't even sure I wanted to go through all that mess, and so I didn't get it done until early August.

If an early stamp was ever deserved, it was probably that one. I am sitting at 13 1/2 months since original submission. So you guys can put the pitchforks up, lol.

273 days = 9 months and 1 day (if my math is correct) from the day the check was cashed until I had the suppressor in my hands.

The very nice lady at NFA got my paperwork, and the seller forgot to sign it. She sent it back to them 3 weeks ago, no new news.

I mailed my packet in early March of 2016.

My first one came back yesterday. Needed a minor correction, same one I messed up on my first SBR application. Already corrected and sent back to them. My FFL tells me it usually takes 10 days to two weeks to turn it back around. That means my second one is about a month out. He filled out that one so I know it was done right. Valuable lessons.

Got my 2nd .22 can(Deadair Mask). Submitted paperwork around June 25,2016 and stamp was approved April 15, 2017. Waiting on my Deadair Octane 45 can that I submitted the week before 41f went into effect

If sales of suppressors dropped dramatically after 41F went into effect last July, shouldn't there be a dramatic wait times coming up soon- once they get through the massive number of forms from pre-41F? If so, that ought to occur here in the next few months, huh?

I doubt it. Once they know how bad they can screw you they aren't likely to loosen the screws.

I hear that. On the other hand, they've hired all these new examiners and one thing is for sure, the government never lets people go, even when they're not needed. So, we're probably going to end up with 3x the number of examiners necessary. Not sure how that couldn't result in faster approval times.

I talked to the ATF this morning, they say reviewers are currently on submissions from the first week in July.

Something everyone may not be aware of... my receipt from Silencer Shop was from June 22, but the ATF didn't get it in the queue until July 21.

Submitted Form 4 middle of May. They cashed my check this week. I understand the check cashing doesn't really mean anything other than they have your application? The waiting game continues - 2018 will be here before you know it!

Silencer Shop put in 10,000 applications in one day in early July. I bet the wait time is going to be close to 14-16 months before the 41f backlog is done.

It's really long right now. I bought two within a month of each other. One was about 7 months and still waiting on the other. In July it will have been a year.

This happened to me took me 2 years to get mine... After the screw up it only took 9 months but still all in all 2 years, don't go through small shop make sure you go through big name dealer that is recognizable by the ATF seems to work out better / quicker
