I will double down on Blake’s chili any day. He has won my a number of chili competitions. Plus he is a great guy.

Don't forget his sausage seasoning. Just made a bunch of breakfast and smoked sausage that was out of this world.

Cajun recipe out of my grandmas old church cookbook.

                    1 cup yellow cornmeal
                    1 cup all-purpose flour
                    1/4 cup granulated sugar
                    1 tablespoon baking powder
                    1 teaspoon salt
                    1 egg
                    2/3 cup of melted butter
                    1/2 cup honey
                    1/2 cup milk

Oven at 375, I set the cast iron skillet in the oven as it heats up. Once everything is ready I will pull out the skillet, make sure i rub down the entire skillet with a stick of butter, pour in mix, and cook 15-25 minutes until its golden brown.

I tweaked his recipe a little bit with my own bloody mary mix, added the trinity instead of just a yellow onion, and two jalapenos. Did it with 4lbs of fresh venison ground from a tasty spike!

                          NO BEANS.

Also made some cajun honey cornbread to go with it.

Here is some pics! Definitely blows away my normal chili recipe.
                          k

So, did you just use one bag of chili seasoning with 4lbs of meat?

No, I doubled everything, two bags of chili, 36oz bloody mary, two cans of original rotel, two jalapenos, 2 onions, one celery, two bell peppers, 4 tbsp garlic. 4 cups chicken stock.
