Feeding protein by the corn feeder

I have one protein pen that is nowhere near a blind and another that can be seen from a blind but that blind is lightly hunted.

Protein pen is separate from the corn feeders in a no hunt zone at our place.

I did it both ways. Initially I had the protein feeders separate with mixed results. I moved them all into the corn feeder pens and their use took off. I left them that way for the next 7 years.

All in one pen plus water in each pen and as a special treat, sweet feed, alfalfa, cotton seed intermittently.
