    Game Camera Time

When is everyone hanging cameras? i need to get around to putting mine up.

I am gonna hang mine late July or early August. I will probably pull them 2 weeks before bow season starts. I just like to use them to let me know whats in the area.

I usually don’t mess with it until early September after they have stripped their velvet.

Also, Our does don’t really bring their babies to feed stations until early September, and we use the cameras for game counts/survey to help determine the fawn crop.

Put a few up on my river ground a week or so ago and hung a few out west around first of the month.

July has always been a good month for me to start running them, but this year I jumped the gun a tad.

Coverts wireless cams stay up all year long. The regular trail cameras go back up in mid July once the horns really start taking some good shape.

I live in Texas and hog hunt in the off season, so I leave mine up all year round. Plus you get to see the new and retiring deer all year as well

I have been running 10 year round. I decided it was too much of a chore to sort through all the pics in the spring when the bucks were growing. This year I'm not putting them up until late July. The anticipation is killing me though.
