I sell automotive plugs for a living. It is not automotive.

In general it is a Mercedes / European type of plug...........

If I can't get it identified I will call one of them and see if I can buy one through them

Is the male half part of the control board or is it on leads like the female. I would call that a Molex socket. Somebody like DigiKey in Dallas probably has it but their catalog is so extensive unless you know exactly what you are looking for you will never find it.

it is an Apollo, they're available with a 1 foot pigtail to splice in to existing application. I can get one for $25, you might be able to find them cheaper.
