    Refurbishing a synthetic stock

Hello guys, I've got a black synthetic stock that is looking a little to worn down. It's got some whitish wear/scratch spots on it. Is there anything I can buff it out with? Sand it with superfine sand paper? Anything to make it look newish again?

Could you just refinish it? Something like a fresh coat of paint or hydrodip?

Not mine, but I copied it on a Remington 700 synthetic stock and it is pretty easy to do.

If you don't like it when you are done, buy a Boyds laminate stock. that was my plan.

Use paint thinner/lacquer and linseed oil. Removes the white chalking well.
