Don't count on it lasting all season. We have solar panels on ours and we still have weak batteries after cold or cloudy periods of a week or more. If you don't want to get a solar pane l( Can't imagine why you wouldn't want one) at lease get a spare battery so you can change it when you are in the blind waiting on daylight and the feeder does not go off.
