Are they throwing rocks at each other or what?

You should be the most well armed person in the country.

This was my first thought. Hell a year or two old compound bow could do some damage I bet LOL

OP, good luck, I will bet everything goes "relatively" smoothly.

Stay home bud. Not worth getting grabbed over there by a bunch of idiots and tied up and thrown in a cave somewhere.

The problem isn’t the hunt itself. The danger will be getting to the location and then returning through areas to get home. With the actors currently in play, I’d suggest a serious consideration of postponing or cancelling the trip. All it takes is one party involved with a certain group that wants to make a name for itself to be in the good graces of Mother Russia or a certain ruling clan or party. It’s not like we’re talking about a trip across the Mexican border here, you’ll be traveling through hundreds of miles run by groups or parties that have a vitriol hate of anything or anyone American or Christian.

I hunt to enjoy nature and relax away from stress,
                      people and the rat race.

Ain’t no way I fly around the world to hunt in a war zone. . .
But I’m an old dude with little sense of adventure.

                      Sorry for your bad luck

You can’t tell me that this skirmish came as a surprise to Secretary of State’s and you won’t convince that, with armed conflict nearby, the risk level is low.

It’s getting to be that you can’t even trust what the government tells you anymore!
We are already there and it has been that way for a while!

Talked to my guy over there today. Says we won’t be anywhere close to the conflict. Seems to be at a stop currently anyway. As of now I’m going

I hunted Kyrgyzstan in a relatively safe period and still, it was a bit unnerving at times - and I've been to some weird places in my life. At one point I am pretty sure we were being hidden from a checkpoint inspection in order to not pay a bride... I mean fee... for crossing.

All of the ex-Soviet countries are similar in that regard.

I have kids now so until they are older, my crazy hunts are on pause, but it was an experience of a lifetime. Even got to see an avalanche - from across the valley.
