Default Big East Texas Bucks Pics

With nothin better to do on this rainy day, show us some pictures of big east texas bucks you've either hunted, killed, or gotten on trail camera. I don't want to know where your honey hole is, but if you know the score and county, please share. (anywhere east of I-45, south of I-30 and north of I-10).

These bucks were all killed or on camera in Nacogdoches County. Majority of them were on the Hayter Hunting Club west of town. (the 6th picture is not mine but from what I understand/heard, that buck was somewhere north of Nacogdoches in the Central Heights area)

Wow. Yea those are some monsters. Definitely not your run of the mill east Texas bucks..
Years ago I once saw an 8 point hanging in an old fellas small house(shack)that was easily in the 170's and probably low 180's(possible state record candidate )!!!
It was shot by him in the Sam Houston NF back in the late 70's.... I wish I had a pic of better yet that head.. It was a true GIANT..
He passed years ago. No telling where that head ended up..

Actively looking but not many places with quality deer and enough spots to keep our core group together.
Staying on one more year just to see how it goes.

Neither too big, lighter horned deer bow kill in Cushing, Tx. Second deer bow kill in Onalaska on 75 acres and first Pope and Young.

Pics don't do either of them justice standing here by them.

I know first and second hand of multiple wild (low fence) B&C deer killed in E Texas every year into the mid 180’s.

Folks that run these types of operations tend to keep a very low profile for obvious reasons.

I understand this mindset but wish it wasn't so. Every county in East TX has the potential to grow a giant some more often than others but it's people's trigger finger that holds their property back most of the time.
