                    With the slick walls looks like an auger bore was used when the soil was wet/moist. My tractor auger slings soil a bit further than the soil around your hole when the soil is dry…but leaves a very similar slick wall.

                          Looks like an auger to me but with no one having access leaves it a head scratcher. The bigger question is, are you the only place in Texas not getting rain? Why’s your grass so brown?
