I can't believe all the sissies that are scared of a few flatulates. Beans go in chili with a little shredded cheese and onion over a hand full of Fritos. The guy up there putting sour cream in his chili is a psychopath regardless of beans or no beans!

But have you ever tried the sour cream??? It's really pretty good.


I guess it just depends on what type of chili you're wanting to eat. I've had most all of the ways everyone has described on this post.

I was born and raised in Texas and have always put beans in my chili.

It may have been a typo but I like how you spelled beans. Thats the way it should be spelled when thinking about adding to chili.

No beans in an authentic bowl of Texas red. No fillers of any kind. Meat and chiles.

You can put them in your pot, but it is no longer authentic Texas chili.
