      Maybe and no

Yes to #1 if it's an American company. All the foreign investment is just more competition for the American taxpayer who has a hard enough time buying property as it is. No reason for China to own private housing in the US imo

No on #2: I hate seeing land get broken up and transplants turning it into 10 acre "ranches" but that's what the market wants and the government can keep out of it

I would rather see laws that prohibit non-US citizens and corporations from owning US land. Corporations must be founded and headquartered in the US.

I think a lot of people here would sing a different tune on #2 if the county they hunt in let the large ranches get split up into 15-20 acre parcels, each with hunters on them.

Read something that 60% of homes in Atlanta were bought by investors in 2021-pretty much every home was between 100-450k so effectively more than 60% of homes that middle class could afford. They pretty much manipulated the market to where the people who sold couldn’t afford to buy back in same neighborhood. Wouldn’t be surprised if that percentage is even higher in the urban areas of Texas

No, I think we all are very aware of what is happening and could happen. We just do not want any type of government overreach telling us what we can and cannot do. The question originally stated did not ask us if we "liked" it just if we agreed.
