The #1 place in all of Louisiana to eat Real Cajun seafood is "Pat's of Henderson" on the loop... It's upscale in ambiance but good down home authentic Cajun food. Best Seafood Gumbo I've ever had anywhere and they'll ask you if you want rice or potato salad!!

Plenty of good recommendations here. Darrells is a must. I grew up in LC and that's my first answer when anyone asks me a good unique place to try there. Steamboat Bills is another staple over there. There's also a Drago's in Lauberge now and it's great seafood.
