Thanks everyone! We were all really starting to question our pickiness. The winter oats we plant the owners picked to keep it more natural and 30+ acres of oats is a pretty site. It’s worked well with food plots over protein because we found it brings in so much wildlife like rabbits, turkeys, deer, and pigs.

We like deer meat and now finally have too many bucks so we are going to have to cull some bucks to get the ratio back to where we want it.

I’ll share our other bucks too. These hill country deer can be hard to age sometimes. We never have had any bucks with significant mass until this year. We have some thick antlers coming in. I think the wet spring out there helped but just my opinion.
