300 win msg or 300 prc

Getting a Bergara Premier and its offered in 300 win mag and 300 prc...what would you go with...strictly hunting rifle

I've been wondering the same thing. The PRC has lots of advantages most importantly being able to better handle long, aerodynamic bullets. The cost will be kept down with Hornady providing brass and ammo. However, the Win Mag also has lots of advantages that we all know. If I had to make a decision right now it would be the Win Mag. Given some time, who knows? Tough decision when you're spending hard-earned dollars.

300 Win Mag. Anything I want to hit at the distances PRC is designed for, I want to hit hard.

PRC is a great round however I would never shoot at an animal at the distances you gain advantages with it over the Win Mag.
