found a shark's tooth on the side of a hill on a ranch in Carta Valley... That's between Del Rio and Rock Springs for those who aren't familiar with the area... We were hunting arrra heads...

Walking in the elk woods in Montana last week we found an old leg hold trap in a creek bottom. Rusty but still a great find

Hope this one gets good! I seem to have a knack for finding old schlitz cans and bottles. Other than that nothing of interest.

Wagon wheel parts. They were underneath dirt and looked to have been there a long time. Cedar trees were now growing where what had probably been open prairie.

Then on a different area of the same ranch found what looked to be a 1970’s backpack that had the aluminum tubular frame. It was among a tall grove of trees that provide shelter. There was still camping gear inside the backpack though very weathered. Guess maybe some kid or kids camped there long ago and left some things behind.

When I was a kid Some friends and I would play in creeks around my house.

We once found a chain locked to a culvert drain that was submerged in a creek. When we pulled up the chaiin it was padlocked to a brief case. We tried to open it but had not luck. Went back a week later with bolt cutters and it was gone.

Nothing to buy into. Topics of old threads are wonderful.

I remember an old thread where someone found a cooler full of dirty magazines and a bunch of empty poppers. I never heard of a popper so I looked it up. Wish I never did.
