Wyoming deer and antelope

We are sitting pretty right now on moisture, areas without winter kill will be great hunting. We were up towards Casper yesterday for a machinegun shoot and drove through Shirley Basin and Bates Hole. Very green and lots of ground water. The Basin antelope are down due to wintekill but Bates Hole looked great. Last year we saw many rattlesnakes on the road this year none, too cool.

Where in WY are you located? I was plinking prairie dogs in Wheatland last week, definitely green up there!

We are in Laramie but do some work for a rancher in Sybille Canyon west of Wheatland.
Some good fishing near there, you should have wet a line.
We had snow Saturday/Sunday morning in higher elevations.

We missed the draw this year. What was a 100% draw turned into being a point short. If I go with my son next year we will have an average of 6.5 points. If I go alone I will have 10. 10 points is kind of no mans land. Not enough for the top two or three but more than needed for the others. People are starting to pile up at 12 points so I will have to decide what I want to do. I will likely burn them and go with a 7 or 8 point unit. If my son decides to go we will try for the unit we tried for this year.

Some weather coming in for weekend, wind and cooler. It's fall now dress accordingly.

We got drawn for deer and antelope. Two of our group are already up there. One decent (for there) antelope taken. They had snow yesterday, all gone this morning. We will be up around Sheridan. Trophy7 and I will be there sometime Saturday morning. Spending night in Fort Collins , Colorado. Looks like it will be around 26 degrees tomorrow morning.
