Found a den

Was at the lease for a work weekend. While waiting on the tractor to show up at one of the spots I decided to walk around and look for sheds. Fond a spot the snakes where laying out in the sun in front of a den. Got into a shootout with them. One got away.

Nice haul. Years ago my brother and I walked up on a den with a bunch of snakes sunning themselves. We ended up killing15 rattlesnakes before it was all said and done. A bunch got away back into the den.

You are correct, that is how most people get bit.

I found a den a few weeks ago. Caught 5 out of there and saw a few more. With all the roundups getting canceled it didn't do me any good though. I went and dumped them out back into that den. Almost stepped on one the other day, stepped right over it.

Video some of the dens when found in the future if possible. I find them fascinating.
