Battleship North Carolina. There are some nice beaches north and south of Wilmington.

My Dad took me to see the battleship North Carolina when I was 6. Little did I know it would prep me for a 11 year career in the Navy/Air Force/Navy later in life..

Go and drive to the NASCAR HOF.

My son-in-law and daughter live on a military base near there. We visited Wilmington last time we were there. If you are into historical sites, there's a lot to see. Lots of cool very old buildings.

Run up to Camp Lejuene in Jacksonville. If you take a big box of crayons, they will love you!!

My folks and brother live there. I've been there a couple times. As previously stated, there's a lot of historical sites. Downtown has nice restaurants. Topsail beach is popular. Lots of good golf courses too.
