      Looks like Lotebush, but they should be through fruiting by now. If it is, turkeys love it, I watched a group of gobblers take off running to get away from me as I drove up the road, but each and everyone stopped to give a lotebush a once over then took off running again.

            Looks like a cucumber tree to me. Had one as a kid. We made so many pickles off that tree I cant eat them any more!

              Absolutely not persimmon. Pics you have are two different trees. First pic is of Bumelia.

              Second posted pics is Brasil, Bluewood or Chondalia. All the same tree, just different common names

                Not a Persimmon. I have Persimmon trees and that aint even close. It may be a Hawthorne of some type. The leaves look just like a Mayhaw tree. Fruit is different for a Mayhaw. Fruit bearing time is right for Hawthornes.

                      Persimmon

                      Mexican Persimmon is what I’m told, they are green and turn more of a black when ripe, we have them all over our place. They are sweet to the taste.

                              Agree, had them all over lease in Llano. Black fruit and very sweet. Need a stand close by. Deer love the fruit.
