Does an RV with paper plates have to stop at way stations when crossing the country? 14500 pounds

I keep seeing in Louisiana an RV must stop if over 10,000pounds.

they will stop you later if you needed to stop.

I've pulled really heavy RV's all over the country and never once pulled through a weigh station, or been stopped.

I prefer the styrofoam plates. They're stronger than paper plates.

A very good reason to stay away from lowsianna! As if a person needed one!

Only commercial vehicles have to go through weigh stations.

Thats what I thought as well. I have an older (08) fifth wheel that is pretty heavy, and have never stopped at a weigh station.
