Anyone else have the new boat fever. Getting my Nitro 591 on the market. Going back to a CC for a more family friendly rig. Looking at a Xpress H20 and a G3 20 Bay DLX.

My new boat should be going into rigging any day now. It's been a long wait to get this one. I ordered it on Aug 7.

No fish in the saltwater. I think you should wait 3 or 12 years

Here is my foreseen pros/cons of the two boats I am looking at:
Xpress H20B Pro: slightly lower price, sea deck option, better overall appearance IMO Cons: hard to find a tandem axle trailer for the H20, hard to find anything larger than a 115HP outboard G3 Pros: Found a 150HP on a tandem axle trailer with sea deck option Cons: Priced higher, still a good looking boat just not as visually appealing as the Xpress IMO Regardless this is the plan for rigging. Garmin units front and back, Minnkota 24v Terrova TM, would love an Atlas jack plate with either single or dual Talons if its in the budget. |

You an upgrade to a 150 on h20b. I went with the 22’ Xpress 175 motor and tandem trailer. We live ours.good luck.

I want a new boat in a bad way, but I may just put a new motor and recondition my old stratos 201 as it does almost everything a new bass boat would do. only thing I dislike is the narrow rod locker. I could repower with a 4 stroke, put a garmin trollling motor and add livescope to the garmin units I already have and maybe a second unit on console and have all I really need

So I am looking for a boat, thus the fever has set in. |

Got the itch big time this year. Too many irons in the fire to pull the trigger right now but it's tough. Wouldn't surprise me to have a new to me center console in the driveway come April or May. Love the Xpress and G3 models. I have also seen a couple used Haynie's that grabbed my interest.

[QUOTE=Quackerbox;15488808]I talked to the owner at the boat show a couple years ago. Super nice guy and builds a hellaskiff!!
But $$$ for a tin boat He is a really nice guy and dialed in on skiff building. They are not inexpensive but the cost of skiffs is pretty insane in general. |

been shopping for a few months for a used boat. One thing I do not get... on craigslist there are tons of what appear to be scams. Boats worth $50k posted for $10k-$20k. Description on the ad appears someone that doesn't speak English come up with or copy and paste from manufacturers website with no real details, no registration numbers on boat, same boat pic in different locations, etc... But what I cannot figure out, what is the scam? Are people sending money or deposits for boats to these scammers without actually going and looking at them? Or are the sellers sending more info and pics that maybe contain a virus? I do not get it.

You'll love the Xpress. Make sure you get the I-pilot trolling motor. It's like hiring a little man to drive the boat while you fish. Greatest thing invented for fishing since the hook.

Guide is a bare bones versatile with a narrower beam but not much. Most of the used ones I’ve seen are guys upgrading what they got and they want a pretty penny for them. They’ll probably get what they’re asking but being a custom skiff it’s hard to put a depreciation number on them. If that’s the case might as well buy new. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

I can't imagine one with a jet!
There was a video of what I thought was a versatile running down a county rd during Harvey. When you could start to see the stripes in the road he moved to the ditch Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk |

I bought a used Triton 240lts in December. Still in the honeymoon phase, love it more each time out. I say go for the new boat.
![]() Hopefully there's some trout left to catch, but if not can chase the near shore snappers or jetty creatures for a few years in this bad boy. ![]() |
