    Wiring 12V Solenoid Valve

I'm installing a new solenoid valve on my 30 gal diesel fuel tank. The new solenoid valve has 2 wires both green, I'm guessing that there is not a difference on which wire goes to positive or negative hook up.....let me know....

12 volt DC will have a specific positive and negative.

How can you tell which one is which....? Both the same color and you cannot tell where they go inside the solenoid body

Does one of the wires have a black stripe? That will be the ground.

Solenoids are basically wire coils that when energized will cause a plunger to move. I don't think you will burn anything up. Worst case scenario is the solenoid will not move/activate if wired in reverse...

I’ve not run across a solenoid valve that polarity mattered.
