Ya know I take my comment back and apologize. MOST sassafras’s have a 3 loped leaf.. but they can have single.

I think that’s what it’s gotta be. I’ve got a bunch and just checked one and I’ll be @&$%. Same leaf

Yessir, as a matter of fact they do. You can actually boil them and make root beer tea...
