                Ya know I take my comment back and apologize. MOST sassafras’s have a 3 loped leaf.. but they can have single.

                I think that’s what it’s gotta be. I’ve got a bunch and just checked one and I’ll be @&$%. Same leaf

                  These two leaf shapes are growing on the same dang tree. Good eye. I missed that
