Default Mattresses, which ones do you love?

Looking at a Bed in a Box mattresses and wanted real feed back from my TBH Brain Trust. Dream Cloud, Purple, Necter, Saatva, etc…. Looking for a good hybrid mattress, tell me what you have and your thoughts.

We just got a Nectar Queen size with their base ... love it so far. Thought it might be too firm but its just right for us. We kept the traditional mattress in another BR and there's a huge difference, for the better. Main thing our backs don't hurt now.

I have a pretty expensive one. It is about 9 years old now and has a lot of life left in it for sure. I weigh about 180, my wife next to nothing, and we rotate constantly so that may be why it has lasted this long. It is a Serta icomfort hybrid with cooling gel. It is way less hot than my previous mattress. This isn't a bed in a box, though.

You can order a Sleep Number bed in a box now for their basic beds. We have an adjustable base split king for our house and then a basic one for our RV queen bed. It’s nice because my wife loves a super soft bed while I like a firm bed. We can both adjust the bed however we like independent of each other. 15 years ago I tried a Sleep Number bed and it felt like laying on an air mattress. It was horrible!! They have made improvements since then so it doesn’t feel like you are camping anymore.

Watch out for purple. They’ll try to sneak you into a used one.

We have an intellibed or something like that (similar to purple) and would not get it again. Paid 4K for it and just to soft for us now in less then a year. Works if you like to sleep on back but any other position and you just sink in to much.

Tempur-pedic. Never have to rotate, flip or anything. They are guaranteed to hold shape to 1/4” for ten years. Ours is over 15 years old now and still feels new and I log in at 270lbs.

We ordered a Bear. There are thousands out there and after doing a lot of research on them I was set on a Bear. I’m a big guy so the straight foam mattresses are out of the question for me and with me being a stomach and side sleeper the firmness level on the Bear was perfect. I was very hesitant to order due to the fact that you spend more time in your bed than anywhere else and I wanted something that would last. After a year and a half I have no regrets on my purchase.

We have a Dream Cloud. Everyone that lays on it, says it’s the most comfortable bed ever. I have back issues (bulging discs at L4 and L5), and it is a little too soft for me. I love laying in it, but I wake up in the morning a little stiff/sore. I need something with a little more firmness. I actually prefer our mattress from Sam’s, that’s in our guest room.

I have a Nectar my only complaint is that it is hot. I am hot natured anyway so it may just be me.

I have Saatva but it isn't a bed in a box. Traditional mattress. They brought them (2x super twin) to the house. Best investment ever.

X2 Tempurpedic. Ours is over 10 years old. We never experienced the sweating problem some people report.

The mattress and getting a metal clip wallet (junking the leather one stuffed with paper in my rear pocket) fixed my lower back aches and pains).

I just ordered a tempur-pedic. $3700+ tax. It’ll be here tomorrow. Hopefully it works out. I tried a bunch at a few local stores and the Tempur ProAdapt medium hybrid felt best to the wife and I. Hopefully it works out. I’m a side/stomach sleeper and my wife is a back sleeper .

Another vote for Tempurpedic. We got the Pro Adapt Medium Hybrid from a place called Mattress Central in Hurst. Talk to the owner Zain and he will throw in pillows and mattress protectors for free. Plus he lowered to price to 2800 for us.

We bought one from Texas Mattress Makers about 2 years ago. Tried out all the beds at the factory downtown. They make the mattress to order and deliver in abt a week. Cost a fraction of the tempur pedic and was expecting to pay more. I was in shock when he told me the price.

We had a sleep number for over 20 years and liked it until one of the air chambers separated and developed a bubble on my wife's side. Decided to try one of the bed in a box mattresses and ordered a Helix. We had it for maybe a month when it developed a dip on my wife's side and she may weigh 110 sopping wet. She didn't sleep well on it also so we did a return and bought another sleep number and have been happy with it. I will say that the return process for the Helix was very easy. The couple that picked it up has a contract with several mattress manufacturers for returns and they apparently stay busy so their are a lot of people returning them.

Wink Softer. Absolutely love it, but depends on what type a sleeper you are(side, back, stomach) and if you like firm to plush. For a soft side sleeper, and a bed with bounce the Wink is a great option.

Same here! And it seems like the more i sleep on it the better it gets. I was nervous for the first month. We had went to firm. But either its broken in good. Or we have adjusted but we love it.

Also we have an power frame that raises head and feet. I got it as a package deal with matress. Now its a necessity. But something i probably never would have bought out right just to try.
