milled creosote. Will last longer, and it pretty much will not warp.

It used to be cheaper than treated lumber, about ten years ago. About four or five years ago, it was the same price.

The price jump on milled creosote may be due to lack of old telephone poles, but I don't know.

Tapcon self tappers work awesome on decking screwing into the angle. Post pic when you’re done.

So creosote is nasty stuff. We move it on our ships. The regulations have changed and creosote has been reclassified and requires specialty ships to move it which has dramatically increased the price. It’s a pain in the azz to handle.

I got 25 years out of treated lumber on a 16ft trailer. I'm 10 miles from the gulf.

The treated lumber you get today ain’t the same as it was 25 years ago. The new stuff is crap.

Buy from a marine hardware store...not Lowes or HD. But yes, I agree.
