    Plumbing question - removing PVC

Does not look like water well folks are gonna come over, so I am gonna try to play water well tech tomorrow.

The PVC pipe broke off at the threads in the check valve. I'd like to re use the check valve if I can. There is nothing to grab onto the PVC as it is flush with metal.

Anyone successful in getting the PVC out? Dissolve it with something, carefully cut it out???

    tips / suggestions welcomed.

Try heating it with a propane torch. Once it gets a little warm it’ll soften up enough you can pry it off a little and grab it with a pair of pliers.

Dremel a cut down opposite sides almost to the threads and you should be able to dig it out.

You probably don't have one, but a caping chisel.

That is if the check valve is metal, copper, or some metalic.

Could probably do it with a pvc valve, but a lot more care needs to be taken.
          .
Internal wrench also/or. it's a cam lock type of wrench

Hammer and flat head screw driver might turn it, just don't mess up the threads.

Others have provided solid advice. I'm going to say a skidsteer with a mulching head just because those are bad arse and everybody should have one.

This! I've done it dozens of times.

What size pvc, they make a tool to remove broken sprinkler heads. Look at Home Depot or Lowes. Made for up 3/4 inch pvc

Thanx foks. Was thinking drimmel, but may give the screw driver a try as well.

And...yeah it'll utube it. On the road now. Dang 1.25 inch fittings are scarce.
