I sat down, opened a beer, looked back at the out of place SUV and knew it would make a great photo.

One thing I need to add to my gear is a decent little point and shoot camera. The iPhone does a good job but nowhere near the big camera. A little point and shoot would be a perfect middle ground for the traveling hunts.

Finally got pics of a hen or two earning their keep. First poult pics of the year.

Range conditions have been great all year. We have a lot of solo hens running around still. Hopefully they start showing up with little ones soon too. If not, these two need to teach the rest of them some mama turkey lessons!

Cool! We were out at our place this weekend axis hunting and saw an absolute ton of poults and just turkeys in general. Grass was doing good and grasshoppers were not in short supply. Already looking forward to next spring.

Only birds hitting our feeders right now are gobblers and jakes.
