Default Worst BBQ in Texas?

I've seen threads about the best BBQ in Texas. I just got to wondering... What is the worst BBQ youve had in Texas?

Spring Creek BBQ Tyler, Tx pretty terrible. Last time I ate there the brisket had lots of fat & was rubbery. Dry & tough. Only reason we went was we had a gift card.

Anyplace that pours bad BBQ sauce all over everything, Big Daddy's, Spring Creek, Red River, Harris Co. Smokehouse, Dickeys, Coopers in Katy. Also, most neighbors with a Pellet Grill/Weber kettle, or an oven and a bottle of liquid smoke.

I actually don't mind Rudy's. They are definitely not the best, but they are better than most, especially as chains go. One thing is for sure, you know exactly what you are going to get, B grade barbecue.

Iím not a fan of Bill Millers. Breakfast tacos and fried chicken are ok. BBQ was not good.

I used to have a Dickies across from my office. Iíd get turkey, green beans and fried okra. Not great but not horrible. Actually never got ribs or beef of any kind.

Whoever mentioned the world famous McRib earlier needs to be banned!!

Most of the above mentioned are chains, which I think most folks would agree chain bbq ain't going to be too good. In 2017 the wife and I did all 50 of the Texas Monthly top 50 BBQ joints in the state. One place we left questioning how they were even considered, and that was Pecan Lodge. Not impressed at all.

Another place that I am always hearing has good BBQ in Hard 8. Went to the one in Burleson, won't ever go back. HORRRRRRRRIBLE.

Dickies brisket is pretty bad bbq. No flavor, no bark, and tough. I hate when people use them for catering at work.
