    Shrimp on beach when?

When will it be time to show up with cast net and catch table shrimp?

I haven’t been down there in a few weeks but we caught a few catching bait then. Heading in from offshore yesterday boats were dragging close to the beach, and all the shrimp boats we saw were inside of 10 miles.

We saw quite a few shrimp boats 30-40 miles out yesterday, SW of Freeport. Saw some closer in, too.

Glen, let me know when you go offshore and catch another yellowfin. I need my YF fix, it's been way too long.

And if you catch shrimp take pictures. I caught a few off a pier once but that's about it. My BIL will be down that way later this week. I'd love to send him with a cast net to get shrimp off the beach!

Mid July to early August. If I hear something I'll post up.

We fished nearshore towards POC Sunday, they’re pretty close.

                        Those are some dandys Killer!

I'd rather catch those than redfish or trout.

Glen, I've never tried to do that. What do you do? Go to Port A beach, cast net into surf, first or second gut?
