Fushaks finally got replaced by good BBQ a la San Marcos BBQ. I would recommend.

I am perplexed every single day that anyone on this earth gives money to Bill Millers.

I enjoy their chopped beef sandwich. You know what you are going to get when you get that. I once saw a couple hunters go in their and buy a gallon of "their sauce". It was a commercial sized jug of Cattlemans Base Sauce. I still can't get over why anyone would buy that crap.

Triple R BBQ in Whitewright, TX.
Several years ago, they had some kinda lima(?) beans on their bar and they were SOURED! Told the people there 2-3 times but they ignored us, at first. Later the manager removed them but I noticed right before we left, they put them right back out onto the bar! We made a comment or two about it AGAIN before leaving but they didn't care, obviously.
To our detriment, we tried them again a year or two ago ... the veggies were OK but BBQ still fails. Not even sure why we went back, guess hoping the mgmt. had changed but nope.
Never again !!!!

In fact I ate there the first time more than 50 years ago. Thats why
It used to be the place to go. Drove over 60+ miles many times back in the 70`s and early 80`s. It is not what most people call traditional BBQ though since they do not cook brisket. I believe they cook Clods or Inside Rounds. I did eat there about 10 years ago though for the first time in forever and it was pretty good still. Just not real BBQ. Sides and hot rolls were still great.

we just had hard 8-Burleson saturday and i will agree that we werent impressed. the chicken poppers were dry, baked potato was dry, the jalapeno sausage was good but was filled with seeds and was too spicy for my wife and kids to eat.

Mikeska's in El Campo without a doubt has to be the WORST "bbq" I have ever had. The only thing that was worth eating on my plate was the slice of Mrs. Baird's bread they serve with it.

Dickey's is a close second.

Bill Miller BBQ.

Moved to San Antonio in 2010. Asked some friends where a good place to get BBQ was and they sent me there. Fast food BBQ, absolute trash. Can't believe it even passes for BBQ in this city.

To the gas station BBQ hatersÖ check out Hallís market in Colleyville. Their breakfast tacos are served in the gas station and are delicious. BBQ lunch is served out of the liquor store and is awesome. Very strange setup though.
Been that way for years. Used to pick up a sandwich every time we went beer shopping there .

I've never understood this....why cut off all the flavor? The same with folks that insist on smoking with the full fat cap on top, then scrape it all off taking any bark they built upon it with it before they slice. Nekkid on one side and smashed up grill mark bark on the bottom.

I'm in the anti-Dickies and Spring Creek club too. Lighter fluid bark with a side of indigestion. Rudys can be OK....better than they previous 2 anyway. No Bill Miller/KFC/Sweet tea shops here in DFW area. Used to eat there when I was in HS and didn't know any better.

Most folks on here couldn't smoke an Eckrich Sausage worth a chit It's like listening to a "steak expert" that prefers them well done, or, or a "bowhunting expert" on here that only posts rifle kills

Agree, not good BBQ at all however the sons a guns are jam packed all the time. They have some great non bbq items and their poorboys are not bad.

Now an absolute horrible BBQ joint in San Antonio is Two Bros. Its really sad because there is potential there but every meat item they serve is way below par.

Its amazing how much bbq fluctuates from place to place. Alot of places have been listed. There are also alot of places ive eaten at that where mom and pop and i wonder how in the world they even stay in business.

The best thing at Hard 8 stephenville is the pork chop! Llano is same way I love their brisket but that Bone In Pork Chop always calls my name.

This is where I'm at. I've never been to a BBQ place and couldn't eat it, but I've definitely been to places that make me decide if I'm in that town again it would be worth trying a different restaurant.

a medium rare ribeye is my death row meal, but sometimes i like to eat a picked jalapeno with it, sometimes a fresh jalapeno, sometimes even some of the thick, spicy chili paste from a japanese restaurant, if i'm wrong, i dont wanna be right.
