Default Boat rebuild pic heavy

Looked at buying new shallow water boat but due to build time and the difficulty of finding a motor I decided to do a 100% rebuild on my predator. Went all composite on floor, new gel coat, new 200 Suzuki, all new wiring, pumps, switches and controls. I though it came out pretty nice!

Itís going to sound like Iím an idiot but looking at the Dargel Kat and the Shallow Stalker 24 which were both priced in the 80k range, I decided this route. Total price with everything done including new aluminum trailer and motor was 44k. The composite floor, re gel coating hull and upper deck was right at 11k by itself. Cougar Marine in San Benito did all the work. Fiberglass, upholstery, aluminum work, and powder coating. Pretty much all in one place. They did an amazing job. I saw a 80ís model shallow sport they had rebuilt that sold me on them. Youíd never have known that boat was 25 years old. They just sold it for 52k.

Looks awesome and I agree with the colors!

I can’t ride in a boat any more ! After watching the prices and build times of new boats and the extreme cost of updating an older one I’m glad I can’t get in one! This is Absolutely crazy!

Now show us some feesh pictures on the bow of her :-)

Nice! I’ve been wondering is it better to rebuild a older boat or buy a new/used ready boat?

I thought the same thing, I figured I could speak 40k on a nice used boat but it would still have hours, used wiring, instruments and overall use whereas a complete rebuild is technically a new boat
