Got a little more work done today. Got all the bracing for the hatch covers completed. Next will be to flip the frame again, locate the skin, and cut the holes for the hatch covers. Then rivet the skin down after installing the hatches. It's getting closer to completion. Click image for larger version

Ordered some more grooved Duck Camo Hydro-Turf today. One sheet ain't wide enough to cover the deck. I'll use the additional for covering a few other things like the gun box and Helm box, live well lids, and maybe the back bench seat.

Thanks! But you looked too soon. More pics coming before the day is through.

I added a little angle trim along the back edging in this second pic. You can see it in the final pics.Click image for larger version

And finally! One more project on this "utility" rig in it's place and complete!

I have 1 removable hatch liner for a big hatch. My "thump box" is under the other on starboard side. And have two little hatch liners on order. Click image for larger version

That's so cool. You got my wheels turning on redoing my decks with those hatches. Nice job.

Since my Lithium trolling battery does not have a bluetooth monitoring system, other than the charger I have for it that has bluetooth and all that data, I decided to add one to the battery, so I know how much juice it has left as well as some other data on it. So, I purchased a Vectron 500amp Bluetooth shunt to hook the battery up to. Problem with the Vectron is, it's not waterproof. So I took care of that problem too. I bought a water tight case from PolyCase.com that the shunt fits in perfectly.

The shunt hooks up on the ground side of the battery. And the troller neg, or load neg, goes to it. It is powered by a jumper wire to the positive side of the battery. The case has a clear plastic high impact top, so I can get a visual on it at any time. I drilled a hole in each end of it and pushed the black ground cables through. Then added the connectors so the holes keep the insides as dry as possible. I'll be adding a little silicon sealer around the cable holes very soon to seal up any space they might have.

I mounted the Polycase on top of the battery box for convenience. If I need to work or remove the battery from the boat, I can disconnect two wires from a dual battery stud post, and remove the whole system at once. That way, I can still monitor the battery when it's not in the boat or being used. To further the convenience of disconnecting it, I mounted a dual battery stud post to the top of the battery box too. This will save me from directly having to disconnect the battery inside the box. The positive side of the stud will go to a battery cut-off switch mounted on my transom for safety's sake. And the negative cable from the troller will go to the neg stud on the post.

The battery also has a built in battery blanket that heats the battery up for charging when the temps drop below 32 degrees. Lithium batteries with management systems (known as a BMS) built in will shut off not allow charging when the temp drops below 32 degrees. The batteries can still be used down to -4F. But will not take a charge until they are up to 32F again. To solve this problem, some makers put a heat blanket inside the battery. My battery uses it's own power to heat the blanket in it to allow it to charge in sub freezing weather. There is a small wire that hooks to the positive side of the battery that allows this, built right into the top of the battery. Problem is, it's a pain to have to unhook the wire each time. So, what do I do? I install an On/OFF switch to the top of the battery box. When temps start to get cold, I'll hook the wires up to the switch. Then I don't have to take the box top off each time to hookup or unhook the blanket. Just press the switch and the blanket comes on or off.
