    Arkansas camping

We have a trip coming up that will provide 3 nights/2 days in AR, looking for scenery and hiking and just hanging out

Petit Jean is high on my list but has no availability so looking for other ideas.

Petite Jean, Eureka Springs, Blanchard Springs are all beautiful places with a lot of shopping. Murfreesboro has the nation's only public diamond mine. Hot springs. You can also float the Buffalo or Spring rivers for some more beautiful scenery.

I really like the Ponca area. Tons of hiking, you can see elk, and the public presence is minimal.

We like the area around cotter.

As mentioned, Blanchard springs cavern is cool. There are some services around that will ferry you for a canoe trip on the white or the Buffalo river

              Keep us posted.

Thinking of heading this way for our vacation in July.

Used to do a lot of camping and diving at Lake Ouachita.

Have you checked out the Talamena Trail near Mena?

My Son just spent 4 days in the Mena area. Took the Ranger Crew with them and went exploring, lot's of trails. They loved it.

Eagle Loop is another good one.
Be prepared to get wet if hiking, you'll cross the river so many times you'll think your a fish.
Beautiful area, as is most of N AR imo.
Quachita trail has many access points and runs from Little Rock to Eastern OK.
