I was able to spend a few days with a friend looking for sheep. The first 30 minutes we found a 29.5” ram on the side of the Mesa, he took him down. His first sheep! For years I stayed in that 31-32 range. A few days later I Spotted this ram in the bottom of a draw. Put the spotting scope on him at 650yds. It was easy to tell he was enormous. One shot from the Lapua and he went down. Free range no protein or feeders in some rough rugged country. Happy I could share it with a good friend. 35.5” monster going on the wall. I have hiked hundreds of miles on this ranch for the past 10 years helping friends kill sheep. Finally I found the one I dreamed of. Thanks for looking.
