Its obvious by now there is a large number of folks saying one thing but doing another. I didn’t get it at first but I understand that people that grew yp watching the NFL with grandparents and parents as a tradition still see it as that, a tradition and that it will take more to turn them off. They wont let BLM steal it from them. Im personally disgusted but in all fairness College FB got 99 percent of my attention anyways so easy to turn it off.

Yeah, my neighbor complains bitterly about all the social engineering in the NFL and says he wishes they'd just play ball and leave all the other stuff at home. Then he comes into work on Monday and talks about the games he watched. I haven't watched any football since I attended the superbowl in Houston a handful of years ago.

This is the most spot on thing I’ve heard in a long time. The social media platforms are a driving force in almost all the problems we face.

I watched zero football for the first time last year. The fact that the Texans are in disarray makes that so much easier. I don't plan to watch them this year as it's going to be a you know what storm. Hopefully the ratings will reflect the foolishness of their leader.

Go back 10 years or so and ask yourself.... How anti-white/pro black/anti-America could the NFL be before I stop watching it? Or phase it however you want.

I doubt there's a soul on TBH that can honestly say NFL didn't cross that line a while back.

But yet the excuses will come and people still support it.

I am 100% in the same boat. When they traded Hopkins I said I was done and have not watched a single game. In hindsight it actually was a good thing for me since I didnt have to make the decision if I was going to watch or not.

I quit watching around 1997 after watching since the late 60`s. I still have great memories from those years, because the game and the players were different. Screw`em.

Haven't watched the NFL in a couple years but then again, I always liked college ball better. Then bleacher report got hot and heavy with social justice issues and I deleted the app. I also canceled live TV, so I honestly haven't thought much about sports the last few months until this thread. College football is so watered down with the CFP and the same 6-8 teams vying for the title yearly, that I might go down another level and start supporting Denison High School.

I have to admit, as a lifelong football fan (all levels), watching my son's HS team play is pretty much the best. However, it is hard to say no to the Cowboys. But the NFL is making it harder and harder for me and my family to keep watching!

Not sure why the NFL feels they need to do all that they can to drive us away....

I kinda quit watching a couple years ago and I really enjoyed the sounds of a football game going on in the house. It was that fall season and hunting and something on tv that was actually good and would take you away from everything else. Last year I watched only a couple glimpses of some games and never sat down and watched. This year it will be further away from my mind and don't plan on watching NFL at all, probably watch some college if not too woke also.

I still watch the NFL from time to time, but I no longer stay home, on a nice day, to watch a game. I love college football until the bowl games. Players sitting out on their bowl games has made it less interesting.

I like watching college football....but if they start getting paid to play and/or to use their name or image then college football will be just as bad, or probably worse that the NFL

when you dont give a dam about something its pretty easy to turn it off

Absolutely, last season’s Bowls were rampant with that behavior. Soon theyll get paid, not sure then you could even consider it College ball if there is no real connection to the college from the players.

That's just silly. They aren't getting paid from the university. Only the top superstars will make money. It's not really a big deal.

I have never watched pro sports. Except hockey once in a great while. A while back I wrote this same thing and was criticized by many here. This whole sports thing is going down the toilet just like our government. Its out of control and people continue to support this crap ! I just don't understand it.

The country did have slavery and we fought a war over it. It was abolished with 5 or 6 hundred thousand deaths. White democrats literally destroyed the “reconstruction” process and are continuing to destroy this country. Pray folks. God is greater than all our problems! This is a winnable war. “Not by might, but by My Spirit” says the Lord.

We can’t change the past brother. We’ve come a long way since then and we are still the most benevolent country in the world. People from all over the world are fighting for a chance to experience “systemic racism” first hand.
