Good question. Steven Rinella is up there for me. Tbh has some pull though.

My grandpa got us all into deer hunting.
He had a real passion for deer hunting as we all did.
Now all my grandkids (except the ones that are too young) deer hunt.

I like Rinella because I like watching the butchering and cooking process. He can take a fork horn buck and be happy. That’s real to me.
Shockey is ok but the hunts he goes on are unrealistic to the average hunter and they make it look so hard and everybody is so sad. When I go hunting with my grandkids I’m happy and enjoy the moment.

There are a few on the list that I respect because I believe they have earned it, and were legitimate hunters before social media was a thing. A few others.... not so much. I generally hate the term "influencer" because apparently you don't actually have to accomplish anything or have any real experience to be an "influencer"

I don't have an actual "influencer", as I define it anyway, but the shows I enjoy most are Heartland Bowhunter and the Jim Shockey productions.

I have been influenced by a lot of people (friends and family) along the way, long before hunting shows and social media were a "thing".
That being said, one guy who I believe is the real deal out there today is Randy Newberg up in Montana. He is a public land hunter.

Influenced into bowhunting by my dad and brother.

Influenced to this site by my brother(y’all can thank him )

Influenced by my unintentional archery coach Michael Braden.

I don’t watch the tv guys getting paid to try and influence me.

I do watch YouTube guys like 4B.

Most influence for me are some hard core pig hunters here on this site. Skinny, GoneHuntin68, Robby Ayala, Texomabowhunter and even Smart(yes I bought some Grim Reapers recently! ). And I’m sure I’ve left some out.

These are guys who love to do what I love to do, with similar budgets and opportunities.

Probably not what the OP is looking for but it is what it is.

Outside of my dad and older brother, the biggest earthly influencer in my hunting desire and even fishing, is this Green Screen right here. Right now, if I have a question or want to do research on a place or technique or a specific target species, I start at www.texasbowhunter.com/forums period. I can almost always be guided in a good direction if I start here. Though lately it's getting more difficult with bein' "Woke" and all... It's still the best place to learn about any hunting related subject.

Steve Rinella. He makes mistakes and has to pass up certain animals, comes home empty-handed a lot. The most down-to-earth guy I've saw yet. Very much unlike all the wanna-be's out there and fake hunting sites/movies.
Very talented in game processing and cooking.

Amen. I can’t even believe the term “influencer” is in a thread title on TBH.

But to kind of answer the OP, I can tell you my least favorite. Mr Nock On himself. Hard to find anyone else in the industry that thinks as much of himself as he does. I have honestly tried to make it through one of his videos to understand what people see in him and just don’t get it.

There are plenty of instructional archery videos on YouTube that are not the over the top self promotion of John Dudley.

Nobody famous as I don't watch hunting shows much....been a long time anyway.

My deer hunting was from my Grandaddy Smart and my Dad... My bowhunting was from my Dad...and that has continued despite a layoff for a period in the 90s.

This recent push of bowhunting pigs has been fed by Fishndude and Skinny's big thread from several years ago. Fishndude mostly. Being able to follow him here and via text on his hunts made me want to take part. Have been very fortunate to have him school me on them and show me the ropes with their unbelievable noses.....not to mention invite me on some very successful trips including my biggest with a bow. I got access to a local place and it was katy bar the door. I love the "see a pig shoot a pig mentality" versus "What's it's age, score and who am I going to **** off shooting it" of deer hunting. Every dead pig is a good pig. There is no snooty judging of the results like the other. Those two guys, a handful of TBHers and a couple of local YouTubers like TBHer Bradley (4B) and TexomaBowhunter or OSC TV just added more fuel to the fire after that big thread.

Default Who is your favorite hunting influencer?

The fact that “influencer” is an accepted term in our society is stupid. The fact that it’s being used on a hunting forum is disturbing.

My dad, my uncle, and my son, are my favorite INFLUENCES on the way I hunt.

“Hunting influencers” in this moronic new accepted context, are nothing more than salesmen.
